Steve Outdoors

A little about me, I served in the British Army for over 15 years and then worked the circuit doing specialist security (Close Protection. When I finally decided to have a more normal life, I started a career in I.T whilst also working on the doors and  and between I.T contracts working daytime as a store detective.

Around 5 years ago I suffered a serious stroke that left me disabled with Ataxia also suffer from other illnesses and mental illness PTSD.

For me getting out as best as I can really helps especially getting into nature and resetting myself and mind along with my therapy dog Pagan.

Being in nature is in itself a cure for anxiety, depression and everything that goes along with it. I have access to some private land for the time being and I am safe and can get help quickly if I need it which is a bonus for everyone else’s peace of mind. But at the same time, I can be with just my dog and enjoy the peace and tranquility, relax and reset.

I do not claim to be any sort of professional content creator, and I can only do what I can do with my limitations but for me talking about things means I can often project my feelings onto camera and stop them racing around my head, often leading me to solutions. But I do enjoy vlogging and then editing my footage and who knows with what I sometimes say then this may help someone else in similar situations.

I also have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to living outdoors so I hope to share some useful tips and tricks along with equipment reviews.

My main vlogging equipment is the DJI Osmo 4 action camera with an external mike as I keep my camera in a diving cradle for extra protection.
